Texans can check out works from world-famous street artist Banksy this summer.

A traveling exhibit from the mysterious graffiti artist arrives in Austin later this month. “The Art of Banksy Without Limits” features more than 200 prints, photos, sculptures and other works from the British artist.

The exhibit will be open from May 29 through Sept. 7 at Fair Market, located at 1100 E. Fifth St. in East Austin. Tickets went on sale this week.

Banksy, the reclusive artist who has maintained anonymity for more than 30 years, is one of the world’s most famous graffiti artists. He rose to prominence in the 1990s for his murals in England, which often had political messages. His most famous works include a girl holding a red, heart-shaped balloon and a man throwing a flower bouquet like a bomb.

The artist has made headlines in recent months. Reuters published an investigation in March that claimed to unseal his long-veiled identity. This week, Banksy took credit for a statue in London that features a man marching with a billowing flag covering his face.

The Austin exhibit features interactive elements, like an “infinity room” full of mirrors and a hologram installation. A separate room focuses on Banksy’s recent works related to the war in Ukraine.

“When the topic is street art, there is no way around him: Banksy is probably the most famous and also the most mysterious graffiti artist in the world,” a description of the exhibit reads. “The Brit successfully keeps his identity secret; his works, however, conquer not only the streets but also the auction houses of the world.”

The exhibition will operate Monday through Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are available online. Entry for adults cost $36, with discounts available for seniors, children and groups.
