Overall, it’s been a few years since we had a reason to talk about the Terror in Resonance anime, which came out in 2014 and was simulcast by Funimation. The show recently celebrated its tenth anniversary with a new key visual to celebrate it below.
Last month, OceanVeil picked up the series for streaming with plans for an April 4th, 2026, debut for the project. That’s now gone live on the service, where it’s a full season drop in its original Japanese language with English subtitles.

The series was directed by Shinichiro Watanabe at studio Mappa, with Kazuto Nakazawa designing the characters, while Yoko Kanno handled the music for it.
The series set Christopher Bevins as the ADR director for it with him and the cast working off of the scripts from Jamie Marchi. The English cast includes Christopher Bevins as Nine, Aaron Dismuke as Twelve, Jād Saxton as Lisa, Robert McCollum as Shibazaki, and Jamie Marchi as Five.
Funimation’s home video release saw a solid set of extras included with it, such as the Episode Commentaries, In-Depth Conversation with the Cast, Textless Openings, Textless Closings, and various trailers.
Plot concept: In an alternate present day, Tokyo is rocked by a terrorist attack, with the only hint to the identity of the culprit a strange video uploaded to the Internet. Baffled by this cryptic clue, the police search for the criminal mastermind responsible for this tragedy, all while two mysterious children masterfully carry out their heinous plan. The pair combines to form “Sphinx”, a clandestine entity determined to wake the people from their slumber – and pull the trigger on this world.
