Back in March 2025, we talked about how it looks like another anime adaptation may be in the works going by a domain registration with Kanan-sama Is Easy as Hell! The manga comes from creator nonco and is known originally as Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi, which began in 2022 as serialized through Weekly Shonen Magazine for Kodansha. It has eight volumes so far in Japan as of November 2024. The adaptation was confirmed in April 2025.
With an April 4th, 2026, premiere date, Crunchyroll made an April 18th, 2026, premiere date for the English dub as directed by Manuel Angel Aragon from the adaptation by Hayden Daviau.
With the dub underway, an additional cast member was confirmed for the fifth episode with:
The English cast includes:
- Corey Pettit as Kanan
- Bradley Gareth as Kyougi
- Cris George as Beelzebub
- Marianne Bray as Nadeko
Additional voices include Rebecca Chiara Marano, Katelyn Barr, Meg McClain, Nia Celeste, James Marler, Ricco Fajardo, Mauricio Ortiz-Segura, Drew Breedlove, Celeste Perez, Jordan Colea, Paige Guillory, Mark Allen Jr., and Mike Jaeger.
The show has set Yasushi Muroya to direct it with Hisashi Isogawa as the assistant director. Rinmtaro Ikeda is handling the scripts with Akari Minagawa on the character designs and Studio KAI on the animation production.

The series features Faulieu performing “Hatsukoi Moment” for the opening and Aogiri High School performing “Pop Snack Junk na HUNNY” for the ending.

Plot Concept: Kanan is a demon hiding in a high school in the human world to feed on the souls of humans. She sets her sights on a single high school boy but somehow ends up in a lover’s contract with him. Kanan, who has never been in love, is now filled with new feelings. The romantic comedy of a pure-hearted demon’s first love begins.
