The summer 2019 anime series Given was part of the Noitamina block on Fuji TV, and Crunchyroll brought it out that season for a simulcast as well as eventually the feature film. The series is based on the manga by Natsuki Kiz,u which is serialized in Cheri+ magazine. It began in December 2017 and was completed with nine volumes before launching into Given: 10th Mix.
We learned back in March 2023 that after the original film, a sequel film had been given the green light and would be a two-part film. The first film was titled Eiga Given: Hiragi mix, and it saw a January 27th, 2023, release. The second film was titled Eiga Given: Umi e, aka Given the Movie: To the Sea, and saw a September 20th, 2024 release.
Crunchyroll added the first film back at the end of 2024, and in June 2025, it brought out the second sequel film from 2024. The film is available with English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, and Russian subtitle options and is open to subscribers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
Now, Crunchyroll has updated both films with English dubs that are now streaming for fans to check out here and here. Hayden Daviau confirmed that they directed both films.
The show has Hikaru Yamaguchi directing based on the scripts overseen by Yuniko Ayana. Studio Lerche worked on the animation production for it.
The Japanese cast includes Shougo Yano as Mafuyu Sato (guitarist and vocalist), Yūma Uchida as Ritsuka Uenoyama (guitarist), Masatomo Nakazawa as Haruki Nakayama (bassist), and Takuya Eguchi as Akihiko Kaji (drummer).
The dub is directed by David Wald based on the scripts from Marissa Lenti. The English cast includes Brandon McInnis as Mafuyu Satou, Josh Grelle as Ritsuka Uenoyama, Y. Chang as Haruki Nakayama, and Jonah Scott as Akihiko Kaji.

Plot Concept: Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal…
That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
