A free event chocked full of activities and emerging artists will help Derby’s Vaillant Live celebrate its first birthday next month.
Vaillant Live, Derby’s home of live events and entertainment, is hosting the event to mark an “incredibly successful year of bringing entertainment, community, and culture together in the heart of the city of Derby”.
The event is set to take place on Saturday, June 6, and will run the entire day with events showcasing local and grassroots talent as well as family-friendly activities and discounted food and drink offerings.
Tickets for the “We Are One” event are free, but must be booked in advance online. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult 18 and over.
On the day, local charity Bridge The Gap will also be attending to raise funds to support children and families with mental health resources, workshops, and 1:1 support.
Since its opening in May 2025, Vaillant Live has hosted a number of well-known names such as John Bishop, Jess Glynne, Simple Minds and Rag N’ Bone Man.
Marcus Sheehan, Vaillant Live’s general manager, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating our first year.
“This event is not only about looking back on what we’ve achieved this past year; it’s also about putting a spotlight on emerging artists in the East Midlands and bringing the Derby community together for a day of fun and live entertainment.
“We can’t wait to welcome the local community to come and celebrate Vaillant Live’s one-year anniversary with us!”
Doors for the event will open at 11am, with activities and performances scheduled throughout the day.
Emerging artists, including ALCHEMY, Zayla Ren, Taylor Liam Jackson, Lucy Crisp, and others, will be performing on the BBC Introducing East Midlands stage.
Tickets have been released and can be booked on the Vaillant Live website.
