One of the most anticipated book adaptations of the year is finally almost upon us, with Off Campus landing on Prime Video in May. And today, we were finally gifted with a full-length trailer, giving us a glimpse into Briar University’s party scene and the many hot and steamy romances that are about to take place there.
Fans of the Elle Kennedy book series will already be familiar with our leads, Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, but there have been a few creative changes made to the show. While Garrett will still appear as the jocky hockey star, Hannah is no longer a singer but does appear to be musically inclined. Likewise, her crush Justin is no longer a football player like in the books, but rather, a brooding musician played by Australian actor Josh Heuston.

That’s right, Off Campus will feature a love triangle with a 10 Things I Hate About You fake dating storyline, and naturally, the attraction between Hannah and Garrett increases throughout the season. In the trailer released on April 24, we finally got a solid look at our leads, from Garrett’s early interactions with Hannah that playfully piss her off, to the deal they make, and then Garrett and Hannah slowly becoming love interests.
It all culminates in an intimate moment where Garrett really makes his intentions known for Hannah and murmurs into her ear, “Now you can blush”. Oh yes, it’s that kind of romance adaptation.

Add in party scenes where characters like Dean Di Laurentis (played by Stephen Kalyn) are making out with random women on their kitchen benchtop, and costume parties with jocks wearing wings and masks, and we’ve got what may become the best rom-com of the year on our hands. Watch the new trailer below ahead of the May 13 release.
