SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A new exhibit at the Sioux City Art Center brings regional artworks to be displayed.
2026 Biennial: Interstates takes artwork from artists who live within a 300-mile radius of Sioux City.
Art Center officials said 315 pieces of artwork from more than 100 artists were submitted for the show, but more than 30 artists are presenting their designs for the event with the theme of interstates.

“To honor the way roads and rivers really shape our experience of land and community and to offer artists a chance to jump off from that point,” said Matthew Fluharty, Guest Curator. “Artists are great at connecting us across communities and across states, so I think the artwork is a really valuable bridge to folks meeting each other, thinking about different perspectives.”
The exhibit will be on display at the Art Center until August 9.
