There is a new Chrome Plugin that has just been developed, allowing people to back up their Kindle Books via the Kindle Cloud Reader. It converts books you have purchased and those downloaded from Kindle Unlimited into EPUB files, allowing you to store them locally and load them on other devices, such as a Kobo e-Reader.
The plugin is not available on the Google Chrome Web Store and can only be downloaded from Codeberg. However, the plugin is very slow and not well optimized. It can convert 10 books an hour, so very large libraries can take days for it to convert every single one.
One downside of this plugin is that some books have broken formatting. Such as books not looking the same on the Cloud Reader. This might be fixed by loading the EPUB books in Calibre and trying to fix it.
