While we saw the overall month explored before with the general mix of graphic novels for the month of May 2026, ICv2 has now broken out the manga into its own category to explore and see how things went down. While the world of manga struggles with getting reprints out there for older volumes, especially for smaller series, this month also shows a rare change in that Viz dominates, but we do get slots that go to other publishers.
Viz Media claims fourteen slots here, and that has a lot of the popular Shonen Jump titles taking up slots from One Piece to My Hero Academia and more, but sees Jujutsu Kaisen taking the top three spots, with a few more further down.
When it comes to non-Viz Media books, this is a light month as Yen Press gets two slots for The Summer Hikaru Died. Kodansha snags fiyr slots with Gachiakuta and Witch Hat Atelier.
