The latest round of charts to roll out from ICv2 covers another part of what happened in June 2026 by looking at the graphic novel market as a whole – by units and by dollars. This one tends not to vary as wildly as the comics one does because we don’t usually get single-issue comics that are out of the norm that often. One of the fun things about the graphic novel side is that there are things that turn out big here that aren’t usually thought about within the monthly floppies marketplace, but do big numbers.
In terms of units, this month saw DC Comics run the table by taking sixteen slots overall, and eight of the top ten as well. The compact editions, the Absolute trades, and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow are powering the DC Engine right now. It’s just kind of crazy with how well the compact editions did over the holidays. Outside of DC, Vault strikes big with Dungeon Crawler Carl and Abrams scores with X-Men: Elsewhen.
In terms of by dollars, a lot of it looks the same overall, though the pricier books make bigger inroads, such as some of the omnibus hardcovers that come in at $125 or higher, which tend not to be an area where manga does well since they’re much lower in price. The chart has some similarities, but you get things like the Invincible Compendiums and Omnibus works, especially with the show coming back at that point.
