While a whole lot of us are very much deep into the world of streaming and many have moved past physical media overall, there’s still definitely a market there for it – and should be if you want to actually own a copy of something that doesn’t require being online to watch it – even more so if you have data caps in your area!
The folks at Media Play have updated the stats and changes for the week ending May 16th, 2026.This week doesn’t have anything new coming onto the chart proper, but new editions of things like Fight Club and Bridesmaids debut, doing some decent numbers. The new UHD release of Fight Club got it to take the top spot, in fact.
On the backlist side movers, the TMNT trilogy comes from 178 to eighteen this week, while Moneyball resurfaces alongside Kingdom of Heaven.
TV material is always light on these kinds of charts, but the first season of It: Welcome to Derry holds on for a second week at second.
On the anime side, Akira charts again, going from seventeenth to twelfth.
