Dark Horse Comics has announced Six of Us, a six-part neo-noir series by writer Tom King, artist Gabriel Hernández Walta, colorist Jordie Bellaire, and letterer Clayton Cowles. Set in Hollywood, the book revolves the cast of a popular TV show, who unexpectedly lose one of their own, and the dark secrets that emerge as a result. The press release teases “fear, betrayal and fans will follow them everywhere.”

The full synopsis reads, “A beloved cast member of a hit show dies under mysterious circumstances, sending shockwaves through Hollywood, and revealing the secrets, betrayals, and desires lurking beneath the glittering facade. As the surviving cast confront their past, old rivalries and hidden truths emerge, and the line between life and performance begins to blur.”
The book marks King’s second at Dark Horse, following his and Bilquis Evely‘s Nebula Award-nominated 2024 release Helen of Wyndhorn, and his second with Walta, following their Vision run at Marvel in 2015. Walta contributed a variant cover for Helen of Wyndhorn #5, while his last interior work for Dark Horse was 2022’s Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Old Man Whittier.
Issue #1 will be released on September 9, with a main cover by Walta, and variants by Fabio Moon, Elsa Charretier, Jorge Fornes, Raul Allen, and Tula Lotay, which you can check out below. More covers will be revealed at a later date.
In the meantime, the Supergirl movie based on King and Evely’s Woman of Tomorrow will be released on June 26; the writer’s newest Archie one-shot, Jughead: Piemageddon, will follow on July 15; and the Lanterns series he co-created will premiere on HBO on August 16. King will also provide a first look at the animated Mister Miracle show he is working as the showrunner at the Annecy International Animation Festival at the end of June.
