The Thunder 3 manga got the announcement in February 2026 about an anime adaptation, and it worked out well since the manga has been in English for a couple of years and its availability was just going up as it got an English simulpub through K Manga as well.
Arriving as part of the +Ultra block on Fuji TV, the show has a July 8th, 2026, premiere date. Now, the production has brought out the clean versions of the ending sequence. The series features the opening theme song “Thunderbolt” by Yuri and the ending theme song “Shururerira” as performed by otoha.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Pyontarō
- Natsumi Kawaida as Tsubame
- Eri Akiyama as Hiroshi
- Honoka Mitsubachi as Futaba
The series features the opening theme song “Thunderbolt” by Yuri and the ending theme song “Shururerira” as performed by otoha.
The property comes from writer/artist Yuki Ikeda, which began serialization in 2022 in Monthly Shonen Magazine for Kodansha. Known originally as サンダー3, it has eight volumes out in Japan in its original form.

Plot Concept: Pyontaro is a middle schooler whose little sister, Futaba, simply adores him. One day, he and his buddies—the so-called “Small Three”—decide to watch a weird disc their teacher lent them. Little do the boys realize this disc is linked to another universe…and while they aren’t looking, Futaba gets sucked in! Can Pyontaro and his friends find Futaba? And just what is this other world they’ve discovered?!
