The Boys Season 5, Episode 6 has a teaser video confirming the arrival of new supe Bombsight — and it sets up supervillain Homelander becoming even more powerful.
We’re nearing the end of The Boys, with just a few episodes left of its fifth and final season. And so we’re starting to get an idea of how the over-the-top, super gory show will conclude.

As of the end of last week’s Episode 5, Homelander and Soldier Boy were on their continuing mission to find V-One, the original version of the super serum. Homelander wants it because he believes it will grant him immortality and secure his ascension to godhood. Soldier Boy, Homelander’s father, is helping out, although based on the Episode 6 teaser below, it looks like he’ll flip flop allegiances once again.
But the big reveal in the teaser is the arrival of Bombsight, played by Stranger Things star Mason Dye. Bombsight, who will appear alongside Soldier Boy in upcoming spinoff Vought Rising, was one of the World War 2 era supes who was given V-One, and this, like Soldier Boy, is essentially immortal. Homelander believes Bombsight has some V-One left, and very much wants it.
There are a number of interesting shots in the teaser. At one point Soldier Boy punches Homelander — could he have turned on his son for some nefarious reason, or is he acting in self defence? But most interesting of all is the brief shot of someone crashing down into the grass. Is this Homelander, fresh from taking V-One, all powered up and immortal?
Let’s remember that a shot in the Season 5 trailer showed Homelander exploding with eye laser power in what looked like the same location. Some have suggested Episode 6 ends with this scene, setting up his rule over America from the White House, which was also teased in a prior trailer.
If this is accurate, the shot we see of someone bleeding out in a white room with Homelander looking on from inside the room while Sister Sage stands outside, could be a test to make sure he is immune from the supe-killing virus The Boys have cooked up. If it is, it looks like Homelander is indeed immune.

Whatever the case, with just three episodes left of Season 5, The Boys need to get a move on if they’re going to do anything meaningful to stop Homelander from world domination. Last week, Homelander actor Antony Starr addressed concern that The Boys may join the growing list of controversial TV show endings by insisting it won’t conclude like a recent series finale that failed to kill anyone (he didn’t name it, but he was clearly talking about Stranger Things).
“As our boss Eric [Kripke, The Boys showrunner] has said, don’t get attached to any characters on this show because everyone’s head is potentially on the block,” Starr said.
The Boys has already killed two major characters in Season 5 so far, both at the hands of Homelander himself: A-Train and, most recently, Firecracker. The suggestion is plenty more will follow. Will Homelander himself finally bite the dust? Butcher? Hughie? More?
