A new manga series launched in spring 2025 for the sports fans with Suruga Meteor (スルガメテオ). The property launched in the 7/2025 installment of Weekly Shonen Magazine and has five volumes out so far, with a sixth scheduled for May 15th, 2026. In support of that upcoming release, the series has nabbed the 22-23/2026 cover of its magazine with new artwork below.
Tanaka made their debut in 2020 with half a dozen titles and has seven works to their name overall.
Weekly Shōnen Magazine is a weekly shōnen manga magazine published on Wednesdays in Japan by Kodansha, first published on March 17, 1959. The magazine is mainly read by an older audience, with a significant portion of its readership falling under the male high school or college student demographic.
Plot Concept: High School Sports Drama about a passionate baseball team captain who’s looking for a suitable ace pitcher for his team. When he finds a timid tall guy with a big butt (a sign of physical power!), he tries to convince him to join his team and aim for the famous Koshien tournament together!
