A new anime adaptation was announced in October 2025 with the light novel series Rich Girl Caretaker: I’m Secretly the Caregiver of the Most Popular Girl in This Rich Kid School getting the nod. With a July 2026 plan set for it previously, Crunchyroll recently announced its pickup of the show for streaming to subscribers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.
With a premiere date of July 4th, 2026, the production has updated to reveal that Ami Maeshima has joined ni the role of Karen Asahi. Maeshima has also signed on to perform the ending theme song “Kanpeki Janai Watashi” for the show.

The show has Shusei Morishita directing it from the scripts overseen by Aya Yoshinaga. Naok Kawashima is handling the character designs with Brain’s Base on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Yuto Uemura as Itsuki Tomonari
- Konomi Kohara as Hinako Konohana

- Saori Onishi as Mirei Tennoji
- Rio Tsuchiya as Narika Miyakojima
- Ami Koshimizu as Shizune Tsurumi
- Takehito Koyasu as Kagen Konohana
The original work comes from creator Yusaku Sakaishi which saw HJ Bunko bring it to its imprint after being self-published. It launched in 2021 and has eleven volumes out as of October 2025. Known originally as Saijo no Osewa Takane no Hana-darakena Meimon-kou de, Gakuin Ichi no Ojou-sama (Seikatsu Nouryoku Kaimu) wo Kagenagara Osewa suru Koto ni Narimashita, it also has a manga adaptation that is currently serialized by Sorahiko Mizushima.
The light novels were picked up for release in English in 2023 by Monogatari Novels and are solicited for a March 3rd, 2026, debut with the first volume.

Plot Concept: A high school boy, Itsuki Tomonari, gets involved in a kidnapping and ends up taking care of Hinako Konohana, a young lady from one of Japan’s largest conglomerates.
On the surface, Hinako seems to be a brilliant and charming girl, but in reality, she is a lazy girl with no life skills. However, due to family reasons, Hinako has to play the role of the “perfect young lady” at school. Wanting to protect her, Itsuki takes care of her in a very caring manner. Eventually, Hinako begins to fawn on Itsuki with all her might… “Now…if Itsuki isn’t around, I would hate it.”
This is a love story that begins with a cute young lady with a gap that transcends the master-servant relationship.
