A new anime adaptation was announced previously with Farming Life in Another World getting the nod. The series arrived with a January 6th, 2023, debut, and the folks at HIDIVE made their pickup of it. Earlier this month, the show saw distribution through Hulu in its original Japanese language and the English dub that was produced for it. Ryoichi Kuraya directed it based on the series composition by Touko Machida. Yoshiko Saito is on board as the character designer and chief animation director with Zero-G handling the animation production.
With an April 6th, 2026, debut, HIDIVE has confirmed it for a simulcast pickup. Pony Canyon is again handling the home video release has been set with two sets for the season with six episodes per set. they’ll be priced at 17,000 yen on DVD and 18,000 yen on Blu-ray. The Japanese cast includes Atsushi Abe as Hiraku Machio, Shino Shimoji as Ruu, Aya Suzaki as Tia, Lynn as Ria, Yukiyo Fujii as An, Miyu Tomita as Flora, Natsumi Hioka as Lasutis Moon, and Machiko as Sena. Second season additions include Natsu Yorita as Rashashi, Misaki Watada as Igu, Hiyori Kōno as Mamu, Mariko Higashiuchi as Gruwald, Tōru Sakurai as Gordon, and Genta Nakamura as Narf.
Second season cast additions include Hiroshi Shirokuma as Doss, Haruka Shiraishi as Hiterto, Yō Taichi as Foosh, Rumi Ōkubo as Kupid, Jun Fukuyama as Domime, Saori Ōnishi as Kuon, Asuna Tomari as the Giants, and Misaki Kuno as Spirit King, Hikaru Midorikawa as The Demon God, Rikuya Yasuda as Jack, Eri Yukimura as Morte, Mariko Honda as Bell Forgma, Yasuhiro Mamiya as Gou Forgma, and Fumiya Imai as Kuzden.
The first season opening theme is done in-character by Shino Shimoji and Aya Suzaki with “Flower Ring” while the ending theme is from Yui Hizuki with “Feel the winds.” The second season features the opening song “It’s a beautiful story” by Rurushi Ru and Tia, while the ending song is “Sunny Steps” by Yui Hizuki.
The manga from Kinosuke Naito began in 2016 with twelve novels out so far and ongoing. A manga adaptation began in 2017 with eight volumes out in Japan. One Peace Books releases the manga in English.
