TOKYO — “RE:BEL ROBOTICA,”the near-future sci-fi original anime set in the Shibuya of 2050. Following its production announcement on June 24, its teaser visual and PV have now been unveiled — and along with them, the all-star production team has been revealed, together with comments from its members.
The TV anime “RE:BEL ROBOTICA”unfolds an all-new, anime-original story set in the Shibuya of 2050. The newly unveiled teaser visual features the enigmatic Lily standing at Shibuya Scramble Crossing as dawn begins to break.
The work’s all-star production team has also been announced! General Director is Shin Onuma, whose credits include the “Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya”series and “Princession Orchestra.”Series Composition is handled by Ryo Yoshigami, who also worked on the TV anime “PSYCHO-PASS”series and devised the original story concept for “RE:BEL ROBOTICA.”Music is by Yuki Kajiura, known for acclaimed titles such as “Sword Art Online,”“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,”and “Puella Magi Madoka Magica,”and animation production is handled by SILVER LINK. To celebrate today’s announcement, comments from the production staff have also been released.
The newly released teaser PV also offers fans their first listen to an insert song by Yuki Kajiura. The opening depicts familiar landmarks — the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, the area in front of the Hachiko statue, the subway platform at Shibuya Station — where a virtual technology known as MR (Mixed Reality), fusing the virtual and the real, has become a seamless part of everyday life. Thanks to rapid advances in information technology, everyone enjoys a comfortable and fulfilling life, and Shibuya has become the city with the world’s highest “happiness index.”And within it stands the enigmatic girl, Lily. Just what effect will her existence have on the world? Fans should also keep an eye out for the vivid, color-saturated eyes that have become a signature of Mika Pikazo’s artwork.
Packed with intriguing hints about the world of RE:BEL ROBOTICA, the teaser offers fans their first glimpse into a story still shrouded in mystery — It’s a teaser you’ll want to revisit again and again!

While this work takes a somewhat unique approach – drawing on the worldview of the original while telling a completely new story – we’ve been able to go much deeper into the drama and emotional expression as a result. We’re taking on a range of challenges to find the very best way to bring Mika’s beautiful delicate work to life in animation.

Our goal in adapting RE:BEL ROBOTICA into an anime was to let the extraordinary creativity of original author Mika Pikazo – which never fails to move its viewers – resonate throughout the entire series. Working closely with General Director Shin Onuma, we have engaged in countless conversations and repeated trial and error to ensure that Mika’s sensibility permeates everything, from the lines, colors, and visual effects through to the story, the dynamics between characters, and the dialogue. We hope you’ll look forward to the broadcast.
