Nominate your school for the KREM Cares Big Book Giveaway to provide free books and promote literacy for kids this summer.
SPOKANE, Wash. — KREM 2 and our partners want to make sure kids have books to read this summer. Here’s your chance to nominate your favorite school and make sure each student has a book to take home this summer.
The KREM Cares Big Book Giveaway is part of KREM 2’s effort to get kids reading. This is especially important as we head into the summer months when kids may not have as much access to books.

We want you to nominate your school to have the KREM Cares team visit before kids go on summer break. It’s very easy to nominate your school. Click on the survey below and tell us how a book delivery would benefit the kids in your school. Make it 250 words or less, include the name of the school and the town it’s in, and leave a way for us to contact you. You must leave a working email and/or phone number for us to make contact in order to select your school.

Unfortunately, we can only choose one school from the nominations. That said, each student at the chosen school will get a free book. We are taking nominations from elementary-level schools.
We are so excited to partner with BECU to provide the books and Nom Nom to provide each child with a coupon for a summer treat. Thanks to both BECU and Nom Nom for helping promote literacy and supporting our kids!
In the meantime, KREM Cares will be visiting schools around the region over the next few weeks.
