In the upcoming book Star Trek Timelines: A Visual Voyage Through Generations of History, four authors will examine time travel and its effects throughout the history of the Franchise. The 336-page book is written Derek Tyler Attico (The Autobiography of Benjamin Sisko), Kelli Fitzpatrick (Captain Marvel: Carol Danvers Declassified), Michael Dismuke and Jim Johnson (Star Trek Adventures TTRPG). And while it won’t quite be available for the Franchise’s sixtieth anniversary in September 2026, it will be available from DK later this fall.

As any Trekkie is well aware, the Franchise’s relationship with time travel (and the resulting parallel timelines) can be… convoluted at best (please hold all clichéd Doctor Who references). And sure, crash courses like the one in Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2’s “Temporal Mechanics 101” can help make some sense of the issue… but only so much.
Enter Star Trek Timelines. The book promises to offer a comprehensive examination of the Franchise’s timelines, beginning at the Big Bang and concluded at the end of the universe. Along the way, all of the prime timeline Star Trek shows will be considered, from Star Trek: The Original Series to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
But of course, no such volume would be complete without including known parallel timelines, as well. This includes the Kelvin Timeline seen in the movies from J.J. Abrams, the Mirror Universe and the titular timeline from Star Trek: Voyager Season 4’s “Year of Hell.”

While you can preorder Star Trek Timelines now, the book is scheduled for publication on November 3rd, 2026. It carries a suggested retail price of $60.
