When it comes to manga, we’ve got something of a real change here once again, that’s interesting. Most months, almost all – if not all – are from Viz Media, and that’s due to the power of Shonen Jump properties. It’s a real stranglehold that’s frustrating when there are so many amazing books out there and other publishers that almost never chart, as we see from ICv2.
As it says in the title, manga dominates, though this month we get four volumes from Image Comics and one to Vault Comics with Dungeon Crawler Carl to break up the manga dominance. Viz Media snaps up ten of the slots, down from twelve last month, with Jujutsu Kaisen at the top and filling out a few other slots alongside Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man
Kodansha gets a slot for Gachiakuta this time as well as Witch Hat Atelier, while Yen Press slips in with some more of The Summer Hikaru Died.
With Image Comics, the Invincible property is what’s showing strength as the new animated season came out and all four go to that.
