With the fifth volume out back in December 2025, things are moving along well for the Hug Kiss Hug (ハグ キス ハグ) manga as it recently nabbed the 97th cover of Comic Tint magazine with new artwork. Known originally as Hagu Kisu Hagu, it began in 2022 from creator Kujira as a spin-off of Honnou Switch. You can find it online at Comic Days here.
With the seris drawing some attention, it’s now been confirmed to have 300,000 copies in circulation in print and digital for its five-volume run.
Kujira made their debut in 2001 with Comic Hoshi Shinichi and have twenty-eight works to their name.
Kiss is a monthly Japanese josei manga magazine published by Kodansha.
Plot Concept: Yoko Kihara, who said goodbye to her longtime affair partner after her friend’s marriage, was ambushed by her former affair partner in front of her house, but she was saved by a resident of the same apartment, Fujiwara-kun.
Fujiwara-kun quietly snuggled up to Ryoko, who was filled with her anxiety, until she fell asleep…? He says that he will sleep with her on days when she can’t sleep in the future.
