If your child can name every ninja, rescuer and LEGO City
character but needs a little nudge when it comes to picking up a
book, this could be the perfect bridge between playtime and reading
time. LEGO has teamed up with DK Books to launch a brand-new series
of children’s fiction titles aimed at kids under 10, packing them
with familiar worlds and characters that young fans already
love.
The collection features original LEGO stories as well as
adventures set in LEGO City, LEGO Friends, and LEGO NINJAGO.
Consequently, it targets early and developing readers who are more
likely to dive into a book when it
includes their favourite bricks. Moreover, all titles are available
to pre-order now, ahead of their release later this year and into
2026.
A brand-new original LEGO adventure
One of the most exciting announcements is Nikolas Nurdblok and
the Lost Brick, the first original LEGO fiction story from New York
Times bestselling author Jeffrey Brown. The story targets children aged five to
nine, unfolds in a post-apocalyptic LEGO world, and follows the son
of a famous family of adventurers as he searches for lost LEGO
pieces and instructions.

With its action-packed plot and comic-strip style illustrations
woven throughout, the book promises plenty of laughs and fast-paced
adventure. Publishers describe it as a great fit for fans of The
LEGO Movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and The 13-Storey Treehouse,
making it a strong contender for children who enjoy humour
alongside their heroics.
LEGO Chapter Books for growing readers
DK Flip presents the new LEGO Chapter Books as full-colour
graphic fiction titles that help children build confidence
in reading. With hidden elements on every page to spot and enjoy,
they aim to keep children engaged while encouraging them to dip
into fiction more regularly.
Featuring popular themes such as LEGO NINJAGO and LEGO City,
these books are aimed at early readers aged 5 to 7. Titles such as
LEGO City Game On! Donut Dash and LEGO NINJAGO Riyu the Dragon will
be published in the UK on 5 November 2026 in paperback at £6.99.
They’re ideal for children who enjoy graphic-style stories, such as
Max & Chaffy or The InvestiGATORS.

For children aged six to eight, DK is also launching LEGO Story
Builders, a brand-new middle-grade fiction series that blends
reading with hands-on play. Each book will include an exclusive
