Things have wrapped up this week for another manga series with Kawasemi-san no Tsurigohan drawing to a close. Known originally as カワセミさんの釣りごはん, it began in 2019 as serialized in Manga Action by Kiyomasa Masanoshita. The series has thirteen volumes so far with the fourteenth and final volume set for a July 24th, 2026, release.
Masanoshita made their debut in 2018 with A Manga About a Demon Lord Who Wants to Be Defeated by the Hero Quickly and have three works to their name.
Manga Action is a Japanese seinen manga magazine published by Futabasha. It is published twice a month, on the first and third Thursdays.
Plot Concept: High school student, Kawasemi, who has transferred to the countryside, spends her days alone due to her shyness. One day, she is approached by her classmate Misago, a so-called ‘countryside Yankee’, and is taken to the mountains. Kawasemi was afraid of what she would do, but then Misago started fishing!? A Cooking lover JK meets a Fishing lover JK’s outdoor life manga!
