Marvel has revealed It’s Symbie, a one-shot for the newly introduced hostless symbitote, offering a physical release of this year’s Unlimited series Symbie Infinity Comic (by Jacob Chabot), as well as his appearances in Marvel Mutts Infinity Comic by MacKenzie Cadenhead and Enid Balám.
It’s Symbie #1 main cover by Jacob Chabot
The synopsis reads, “SYMBIE GOES SOLO! Symbie may be a symbiote without a host, but that’s never slowed him down! Ever since Spider-Man freed him from a mad scientist’s lab, Symbie has made it his mission to unleash mischief across the Marvel Universe. His latest targets? The Fantastic Four, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Captain America and the Marvel Mutts!”
Symbie was introduced by Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz in 2025’s Amazing Spider-Man #11, which It’s Symbie will also include a reprint of. The character will make his first animated appearance on the next season of Disney Junior’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends (premiering sometime later this year), which Marvel has also built anticipation for with the Comics Giveaway Day release for the show, that pitted him against the similarly adorable Jeff the Land Shark.
The book’s announcement came accompanied by the release of footage from the fifth season premiere of Amazing Friends, giving us a first look at the little scamp in action. The clip also features composer Patrick Stump‘s new theme song for the character, performed by Stump himself.
It’s Symbie will be released on July 8, with the Easter egg-filled main cover by Chabot, and a variant by Sergio Davila, which is embedded below. For more of what Marvel has planned for that month, check out their full solicits. The new crossover featuring the older-skewing symbiotes, Queen in Black itself, will launch on July 1.
