The Hilliard Art Museum at the University of Lafayette could not have picked a better day to host its annual picnic presented by BMW of Lafayette. The springtime event was held on Sunday, May 3, on the beautiful museum grounds across from Girard Park.
Sponsors and guests enjoyed an elegant afternoon of art, music, wine and cheese, along with live music by Ann Savoy. This was more than your average picnic. Guests’ picnic baskets were filled with wine by Wild Child Wines, curated cheeses, and fresh baguettes. Anyone interested in supporting the Hilliard should definitely put this event on next year’s to-do list. Proceeds support the museum’s exhibitions and education initiatives serving university students, Acadiana families and visitors from across the region.
