Marvel has revealed Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse, the third and final series in Gerry Duggan and Javier Garrón‘s trilogy of crossovers. Starting this July, following the finale of the pair’s Godzilla: Infinity Roar, the five-issue series will see the King of the Monsters — now allied with the symbiote god Knull — take his reign of terror across the entire multiverse, battling variants of Marvel’s heroes, and his fellow kaiju from Toho Studios.

The full synopsis proclaims, “GODZILLA UNLEASHED, NOWHERE IS SAFE! An unholy alliance between Knull and Godzilla conquers the Marvel Universe – and now Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, Kang, Emma Frost, Ghost Rider, the Punisher, Man-Thing and more stand on the edge of annihilation! When Doomstadt rips across dimensions to capture a kaiju capable of stopping the King of the Monsters, the team collides with mecha fiends, multiversal kaiju and a deadly Red Skull in adamantium armor. But as universes burn, an unexpected ally may hold the key to survival.”
Duggan says, “The culmination of this Godzilla x Marvel collaboration has been a privilege from the jump. To be able to help smash these worlds together with Javi and our collaborators has brought real joy, and we hope you’re prepared for an ending you’ll never see coming — with favorites from both universes making late star entrances and some of the craziest sequences I’ve had to honor of rolling off a printer. Hold fast, one last time.”
The trilogy kicked off with last year’s Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, which in turn came after that year’s Godzilla vs. one-shots, that were launched to celebrate the monster’s 70th anniversary. Before that, Godzilla previously starred in a Marvel series from 1977 to 1979, but the rights for other comics starring the beast remain with IDW Publishing (who are gearing up to start another crossover, with Sonic the Hedgehog, on July 15), and Legendary Pictures (whose version just clashed with DC’s heroes again in the recently concluded Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2.)
Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse #1 will be released on July 22, with a main and virgin variant cover by David Marquez; a foil variant by Juan Frigeri; a cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli; and a variant by Nic Klein featuring the Heisei (1984–1995) era Godzilla. Issue #3 of Godzilla: Infinity Roar is out now, and the series will conclude with issue #5 on June 3. Knull will also be at the center of the Queen in Black crossover, starting July 1, and Godzilla himself will return to the big screen in Godzilla Minus Zero on November 6.
