With the previous launch of the manga series Notes on Nebulous Beings, the first volume just arrived in Japan and we’ve got the cover artwork to the right. The manga comes from creator Reiji Nagata, a practicing doctor with a few works under his belt, and this edition includes a commentary and new illustrations.
Nagata made their debut in 2014 with Neji Jikake no Umi: Otokita Seitai Kigaku Kenkyuusho and have five works to their name.
Plot Concept: 25 years have passed since the “galactic wind” (tempesta) brought about by the explosion of a distant star . On Earth, new species of creatures called “star offspring” are being discovered one after another, quietly infiltrating human life…but most people don’t seem to notice. This is a “slightly strange” human drama woven by the creatures lurking in this world, humans, and a doctor who is a fan of rare creatures ! A new species of starfish is discovered inside the body of a self-proclaimed and widely recognized excellent company employee . This starfish is said to be improving the abilities of the person it inhabits… in other words, making him “smarter.” Was the high level of ability he had displayed until now not due to his own talent and effort, but thanks to a tiny starfish!? His life is about to change completely..
