After previously having a solid run with Daily Lives of High School Boys, the creator came back last year with a new series with Daily Lives of High School Girls. Known originally as Joshi Koukousei no Nichijou (女子高校生の日常), it made its debut on October 18th, 2025, through Gangan Online by creator Yasunobu Yamauchi.
Now, the first volume was released this week on May 12th, 2026, and we’re catching up a bit with a look at the cover artwork below.
Yamauchi made their debut in 2009 with the original series and have eleven works to their name so far.
Shonen Gangan was launched by Enix in 1991 to compete with other magazines such as Monthly Shonen Magazine, Monthly Shonen Jump, and Shonen Sunday Super, and is targeted toward the same young teen male demographic.
Plot Concept: High school girls are back!!!
From Yasunobu Yamauchi, creator of “Daily Lives of High School Boys,” comes his long-awaited new work!!! It’s been 16 years since the legendary meme “Today…the wind is noisy…” Girls born back then are now high school girls. These Reiwa-era high school girls are set to create a new sensation!!!
