The Umi ga Hashiru Endroll manga had been on hiatus for a hot minute, but it finally made its return with the July 2024 installment of Mystery Bonita marked 8/2024 and then recently wrapped up its serialization. The series began in 2020 through the magazine for Akita Shoten and has eight volumes released so far.
With the ninth volume set for a May 15th, 2026, release in Japan, we now have the final cover for it below as it brings the popular series to a close.
The series was nominated for the 15th Manga Taishou Award in 2022 and for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2023. While it doesn’t have an English edition, Milky Way Editions releases it in Spanish, and Akata brings out a French edition.
Tarachine’s first published work was in 2013 with some doujinshi for Kuroko’s Basketball and they followed that up with the 2014 works Itai Ero and Yankee Uke alongside Bokorarer Uke.
Mystery Bonita is a monthly Japanese shōjo magazine published by Akita Shoten on the sixth of each month. It was originally launched as a spin-off to the magazine Bonita, which was later merged with Mystery Bonita in 1996.
