“The Target! All Eyes On Sota”

    What They Say:
Sota was suddenly made dorm manager and coach of the Hokuei University Women’s Volleyball Club as prompted by his older sister, Kaori. There, he had a fateful reunion with Ayano, his first love… In the girls’ dorm! In the gym! In a hotel?! What awaited him were days of being bossed around by girls bigger than him! A Happy Harem Rom-Com of Size Differences♡ Born Huge on the Northern Plains!!

Review: (Please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Based on the manga by Goro Aizome, the spring 2026 anime adaptation is the latest short through the AnimeFesta program and service in Japan. The anime adaptation brought on Sota Warai to direct it from the series composition by Eeyo Kurosaki. Nagae Ashitaka handled the character designs, and Studio Hokiboshi, which has worked on numerous Animefesta projects, handled this at the time as well. The original manga is known as Okī Onnanoko wa Suki desu ka? and began in 2014 and has eight volumes out so far, with it ongoing. It’s released through Seven Seas Entertainment in English.

Sota’s life as the dorm manager certainly had its twists in the opening episode, and going on a date with Ayano was definitely a lot of fun. He ends up relating the date to Kaoru while spending some downtime at practice, and she’s surprised that Ayano turned him down after all of that. She’s been working hard to play better at the game than Ayano for some time, and she’s trying to figure out what’s going on with Ayano and Sota since Ayano is talking about how she’ll go out with him when she just wants sex. That creates a bit of a buzz around the dorm since others overheard that, and it basically means they all think they have a shot at him. Amusingly, as they make their varied plays in some pretty skimpy outfits, he’s oblivious to it and just trying to get through his day. It’s definitely an impressive level of control on his part to be able to handle this, especially as the team all start to fight over him more.

    In Summary:
The reality is that Ayano has marked him for herself and she knows exactly how to manipulate him to get what she wants. We see how she basically gets him to go wild on her once again in the middle of the night, and it just creates this really weird relationship dynamic that both does and doesn’t make sense. Ayano getting a new round with him after the brief time at the love hotel before is certainly fun, but I definitely expected to see more of the girls succeed before she got a second shot with him. It continues to be a stupidly fun show with some nice designs, especially the height contrasts, with moments of some really good stills that sells the sex as intended.
