The last time we got to talk about this property was way back in 2018, when TC Entertainment went back to the 1990s to release two box sets for the Cooking Papa ( anime series. Based on the manga of the same name by Tochi Ueyama, which began in 1984, the anime adaptation landed in 1992 and ran through 1995 for 151 episodes. The manga is ongoing as serialized in Weekly Morning magazine and has 176 volumes produced, with more coming as the 178th is scheduled for a July 22nd, 2026, release.
Now, the property has nabbed the upcoming 29/2026 marked installment of Weekly Morning magazine with a new piece that definitely gets you ready to enjoy some food, as you can see below.
Plot Concept: Kazumi Arai is an ordinary office worker and father working at Kanamaru Industries. But his cooking skills are outstanding! The menu for Volume 1 includes: Italian hotpot, ice cream, the whole curry, special breakfast, whole rockfish sashimi, special gyoza, healthy cooking, mentaiko seaweed rolls, Hakata-style pork bone ramen, light rice porridge, sweet apple, and bacon.
