What Is Control Resonant?
Control Resonant is the sequel to 2019’s Control, and the latest game from developer Remedy. As for where the story takes us this time, a PlayStation Blog post from Remedy Entertainment’s Co-Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen explains, “In Control Resonant, Manhattan has been warped by paranatural forces: its architecture impossible, its realities shifting, its streets stalked by monstrous entities born from a new kind of resonance. You can see glimpses of this mysterious new threat in the trailer. Dylan is at the center of it all. He’s the sole playable character this time, and that choice sets the tone for the sequel.”
IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey got to take a swing at Remedy’s latest recently as well, and said in his first-look preview that, “What I came away with surprised me: I adored the first Control, but early indications are that I might like Resonant even more. Why? It’s not just that it’s markedly different and not just a same-y sequel, but it’s that its melee combat might scratch my Ninja Gaiden-style itch.”
If that’s caught your attention, you’ll want to make sure you have your calendar marked for September 24 to start playing it right away.
