We learned in March 2024 that Seven Seas Entertainment has the license of the award-winning Boys’ Love manga At 25:00 in Akasaka by Hiroko Natsuno. Originally known as 25ji, Akasaka de, it began in 2018 as serialized in On BLUE for Shodensha and has six volumes in Japan so far with it listed as ongoing.
We learned in June 2025 that a second season of the live-action series is in the works where the leads will be reprising their roles for it. The series has a formal October 1st, 2025, premiere date, and did well for fans and the network.
With all of that behind us, the source material side has updated to reveal that the six-volume run so far has 1.7 million copies in circulation in print and digital worldwide. It currently sees release in English through Futekiya while Hana Editions releases it in French. Panini releases it in Spain.

The first volume was printed for the first time in the English language in September 2024 for $14.99 USA / $18.99 CAN, with the series available in single editions as part of the Seven Seas BL label (Boys’ Love titles). Ebook editions are also be available on digital platforms.
Plot Concept: Yuki Shirasaki finally landed his big break. But the pressure is on when he’s cast alongside current superstar (and his former classmate!) Asami Hayama. Determined to do his best, Shirasaki decides to dive deep into researching playing the role of a gay man and visits a gay bar for a one-night stand. To his surprise, Hayama is there and gives Shirasaki the shock of his life by suggesting they become friends with benefits! Can Shirasaki keep his attention on the role, or will he be captivated by Hayama’s good looks and irresistible charm?
