An interesting new film was previously announced and scheduled for a 2025 debut with the tentatively named A New Dawn. It comes from director Yoshitoshi Shinomiya with ASMIK Ace and Miyu Productions out of France backing it. The project, which was teased at Annecy previously, has Utsushita handling the character designs on it.
We learned previously that the film was being pushed back to 2026 from a planned 2025 release, which resulted in a number of promos being privated since they had the old date. With the film making a March 6th, 2026, premiere date, the production has revealed the home video plans. The film is set for a September 11th, 2026, release, where it’ll get separate DVD and Blu-ray editions with English subtitles included. The sets will include over two hours of bonus materials, such as event reports, recording scenes, and more. The DVD limited edition is priced at 7,480 yen, while the Blu-ray is priced at 8,580 yen.

Plot Concept: The Obinata Fireworks Shop factory is getting prepared for an administrative action for confiscation tomorrow. It has been six years since Keitaro has been holed up in a closed-down factory creating fireworks by himself, chasing after an illusion of his father who vanished. It is a story about three young people who overcome the extreme weather conditions, disasters and environmental problems imposed on them and establish their own identities.
