While the success of the Absolute line was the biggest comics story of ’25, and continues into ’26, some retailers have complained that reprints of back issues were not available in a timely fashion. DC has clearly taken the feedback to heart, as today they told retailers that they starting a major reprint program that should help make more Absolute issues available faster.
DC is excited to announce a massive wave of new printings across its blockbuster Absolute Universe line, ensuring fans and comic shops have continued access to some of the most in-demand single issues in the industry.
To support the legion of new readers discovering these series—and longtime fans completing their collections—this March, newly reprinted issues of Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman, Absolute Flash, Absolute Green Lantern, and Absolute Martian Manhunter will begin arriving in comic shops.
This substantial slate of Absolute Universe issues will not be on FOC and is now available to order from distributors, so stock up to meet the unprecedented demand these smash hit series continue to draw.

The demand for even issues #3 and #4 of the Absolute line – traditionally where sales begin to slip – is nothing short of astounding. The first fourteen issues of Absolute Batman are among the newly-announced slate, with Absolute Batman #1 hitting its 11th printing. They’re going to run out of color schemes for the logo.

For those keeping count at home, that’s 50 single issues going back for new printings.
Five-zero.
It’s a show of strength for the Absolute line, but it’s also a major show of support for direct market retailers who at the end of the day just want to have comics to sell that people want. With many of those issues are also already available in collected editions, the continued reprintings mean retailers can cater to different reader preferences, and also continue to offer a product that isn’t available in the bookstore market.
Look for those issues, available to order now, to start arriving in stores in March.
