(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The first exhibition in a rotating art gallery at the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) opened on Thursday, Jan. 29 with a public reception.

In October 2025, the COS Airport announced that it would open a rotating art program called “Art at COS” that will refresh quarterly, bringing new art to travelers throughout the year. The program is a re-imagined revival of the airport’s Cultural Gateway of the Rockies Program, which aims to build upon its existing art collection through rotating exhibits around the building.

The first exhibition is called “Window Seat – Views from the Stratosphere,” and features aerial landscapes, dramatic skies and weather patterns through the eyes of local artists.

“I am incredibly proud of my father’s career, helping to keep the traveling public safe for over three decades,” said featured artist Lauren Lang. “The photographs I submitted are a reflection of what the passengers on the planes he serviced were able to see because of the dedication of airline employees on the ground and in the air who work to keep travel safe and reliable every day.”

This exhibition will be on display until the end of April.
