When manga or light novel properties tease “important announcements,” they can definitely go a number of ways, but we always perk up at the potential for an anime adaptation. The Yowayowa Sensei (よわよわ先生) manga recently highlighted that an important announcement was coming with the December 4th, 2024, chapter of the series in Weekly Shonen Magazine, which then confirmed that an anime adaptation was in the works.
Hiroshi Ishiodori is directing the series from scripts overseen by Yoshifumi Fukushima. Naoki Aisaka is handling the character designs with Brains Base on the animation production.
With an April 11th, 2026, premiere date, HIDIVE confirmed its pickup of the series for the season in its uncut version and that an English dub would be coming. The dub is set for a June 24th, 2026, debut where new episodes arrive weekly, and it has confirmed its staff and cast. The dub has Shannon D. Reed serving as the ADR director working from the scripts by hm and Kalin Black.

- Savanna Menzel as Momoka Morimoto
With HIDIVE bringing out the series in a couple of weeks, they’ve now udpated their listing to confirm that it will be the uncensored simulcast.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Marika Kōno as Hiyori Hiwamura
- Kakeru Hatano as Akihito Abikura
- Yurie Igoma as Mizuki Mukubayashi
- Yū Sasahara as Yūki Yukishita
- Yūko Natsuyoshi as Kaya Kuguri
- Mai Nakahara as Akemi Abikura
The opening song is “COMIT COMET” by Daoka, while the ending theme song is “Yowayowa Tsuyotsuyo Minimini Kowakowa as performed by the three leads in-character.
The manga comes from Kamio Fukuchi which began in 2022 in the magazine for Kodansha and has sixteen volumes out so far.
Fukuchi made their debut in 2016 with Nekogami Jyarashi! and has five properties to their name in total.

Plot Concept: Hiyori Hiwamura is known as the “Scary Teacher,” and if you offend her, she’ll put a curse on you! Or at least that’s what everyone believes. She’s secretly a total softy who’s deeply misunderstood, and once you see her sweet side, she’ll put a different kind of spell on you.
