A new manga series was announced last fall with Usagi Runaway, which made its debut on November 17th, 2025, through Yanmga Web. The manga comes from creator Ren Hachino. This is the debut work from the creator.
Now, the manga has wrapped up its serialization on the service and has scheduled the second and final volume for a July 17th, 2026, release date.
Yanmaga is the web iteration of Weekly Young Magazine. Weekly Young Magazine is a Japanese weekly anthology magazine published in Tokyo each Monday by Kodansha. The magazine started on June 16, 1980, and is targeted at the adult male demographic. It was published bimonthly, on the second and fourth Mondays of every month, until switching to a weekly publication in 1989.
Plot Concept: This series is about a middle school girl who finds herself riddled with debt after both her parents have passed away. Chased by the Yakuza debt collectors one day, she is saved by a track-and-field coach who noticed her potential while he watched her running (away). Track and field might just be her option to survive, a sport where running means more than escape to her.
