On the heels of KPop Demon Hunters’ recent triumph at the American Music Awards, Netflix’s animated movie musical phenomenon is further expanding its footprint with three upcoming book releases.

KPop Demon Hunters, of course, has had a global impact since its release on Netflix on June 20, 2025, starting with the film’s massive viewership. Within the film’s first 91 days, it became the most streamed Netflix movie, globally, to date with 325.1 million views, which equates to 541.8 million viewing hours.

The viewership, however, was only the beginning, as the film and its anthem “Golden” went on to capture several top industry and critic honors, including Best Animated Film and Best Original Song honors from the Oscars, Critics’ Choice Awards and Golden Globes, as Best Animated Film honors from the Annie Awards and the Producers Guild of America.

Most recently, KPop Demon Hunters nabbed four trophies at the American Music Awards, including Song of the year for singing voices of HUNTR/X from the film EJAE (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira) and Rei Ami (Zoey).

The phenomenal success of KPop Demon Hunters has led to several merchandising initiatives for such toy brands as Mattel and Hasbro with dolls, action figures and games inspired by the characters and events of the film.

Next up, publisher Random House Worlds is taking the action from the screen to the page with three new collectible book releases that tap “into the intersection of K-pop, fantasy storytelling, and fandom culture, offering fans new ways to engage with the world beyond the screen.”

The New ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Books Are Scheduled For Release Starting Mid-Summer

Random House Worlds announced in a press release Wednesday that three new releases in conjunction with the film are being added to its already large slate of offerings.

The first new title is KPop Demon Hunters The Official Deluxe Coloring Book — will be released on July 14. The coloring book consists of 40 single-sided illustrations on thick, perforated paper, featuring the reimagination of such scenes as HUNTR/X’s performance of Golden and the Saja Boys’ performing “Soda Pop.” The KPop Demon Hunters The Official Deluxe Coloring Book retails for $20.

Scheduled for release on Sept. 8 from Random House Worlds is KPop Demon Hunters The Art of KPop Demon Hunters: Platinum Edition. Authored by Tracey Miller-Zarneke, the book highlights an authorized backstage tour of the movie and includes over 500 pieces of concept art, in-progress stills, and final designs.

In addition, the book offers insights from such key creators as KPop Demon Hunters’ Oscar-winning directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, as well as its writers, artists and animators. The book, which is 144 pages, retails for $40.

Then, on Nov. 8, the publisher is releasing KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set, which transforms the film into a two-volume, full-color screen comic that consists of more than 700 pages.
