June’s State of Play was packed with tons of exciting announcements, including news of Control Resonant’s upcoming release date and the fact it’s now available to preorder. What a treat for Remedy fans.

For those interested in securing a copy of Control Resonant ahead of its September 24 release, there are a few options to choose from. In terms of physical copies, there’s a standard physical edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X that’s available to preorder for $59.99. There’s also a steelbook edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X available for $69.99.

Those interested in digital copies can choose between a digital deluxe edition, which is available to preorder for $69.99, and a standard copy for $59.99. Below, you can learn more about each of these versions and what they come with.

Similar to the above, Best Buy seems to be the only spot that has their preorder page up at the moment for the steelbook edition. Once other retailers have their pages up, we’ll add them here as well.

This version of the game comes in quite a cool looking black and red steelbook case, with protagonist Dylan Faden at the center. It also comes with fine art prints and a key art poster alongside the game itself.

Preorder Control Resonant – Digital Deluxe Edition

The digital deluxe edition of Control Resonant comes with quite a lot of extra goodies for fans. Alongside the main game, it also comes with a digital artbook, the Starter Resource Bundle, the AWE Mission Outfit, the Untapped Artifact (Wallet), and original soundtrack.

Plus, according to the PlayStation Blog, “The PlayStation 5 Digital Deluxe Edition includes 48 hours of advance access.”

Of course, by ordering it early you’ll also get the preorder bonuses detailed below.

Preorder Control Resonant – Digital Standard Edition

    What Is Control Resonant?

Control Resonant is the sequel to 2019’s Control, and the latest game from developer Remedy. As for where the story takes us this time, a PlayStation Blog post from Remedy Entertainment’s Co-Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen explains, “In Control Resonant, Manhattan has been warped by paranatural forces: its architecture impossible, its realities shifting, its streets stalked by monstrous entities born from a new kind of resonance. You can see glimpses of this mysterious new threat in the trailer. Dylan is at the center of it all. He’s the sole playable character this time, and that choice sets the tone for the sequel.”

IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey got to take a swing at Remedy’s latest recently as well, and said in his first-look preview that, “What I came away with surprised me: I adored the first Control, but early indications are that I might like Resonant even more. Why? It’s not just that it’s markedly different and not just a same-y sequel, but it’s that its melee combat might scratch my Ninja Gaiden-style itch.”

If that’s caught your attention, you’ll want to make sure you have your calendar marked for September 24 to start playing it right away.
