The spring 2023 anime adaptation of the manga series Oshi no Ko is getting its home video releases in Japan handled by Kadokawa. The eleven-episode series – whose first episode was done as a three-episode piece – began on June 28th, 2023, where the first volumes are priced at 8,000 yen and 9,000 yen on DVD and Blu-ray. The remaining five volumes are priced at 6,000 yen and 7,000 ye,n respectively.
With the second season out as part of the summer 2024 season, Kadokawa has now focused its sights on the winter 2026 third season. This one changes things up a bit by going from a six-volume release to a three-volume release. The DVDs are priced at 12,000 yen, while the Blu-rays are at 14,000 yen each.
With the second set out at the end of the month, we now have a look at the cover artwork for it and the fuller packaging spread below. Check out the full schedule and known details below.
The project was directed by Daisuke Hiramaki and Chao Nekotomi with Jin Tanaka handling the series composition. Kanna Hirayama handled the character designs with Doga Kobo working on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Re Takahashi as Ai, Takeo Ōtsuka as Aqua, Yurie Igoma as Ruby, Kent Itō as Gorō, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Sarina, Yumi Uchiyama as Young Aqua, and Megumi Han as Kana Arima.
The series features the opening theme song “Idol” from YOASOBI.
The manga from Akasaka and Yokoyari began in April 2020 with an English adaptation released by MANGA Plus. There are eight volumes out as of this month in Japan.

Plot Concept: The series follows Gorō, a doctor who coincidentally handles the childbirth of his favorite idol Ai Hoshino, who took a hiatus from the entertainment industry to give birth to her twin babies. However, just before Ai gives birth, Gorō dies from an accident, but is reborn as one of Ai’s children, Aquamarine Hoshino, with his memories fully intact.
