A new anime adaptation was teased last year as Sorry About My Brothers put all the right teases into place. With a big announcement scheduled for December 12th, 2025, one of the early signs of an anime adaptation is a domain name being registered – which is not a guarantee. That happened with uchioto-anime.com in mid-November 2025. In December 2025, the adaptation was formally announced with plans for a 2026 debut. The adaptation has Hitoshi Nanba directing it from the series composition by Megumi Shimizu. Shiori Hiraiwa and Yoko Fukushima are handling the character designs with Lay-duce on the animation production.
The show is set for a July 3rd, 2026, debut, where it’ll be a two-cour consecutive run as well. Now, a new character promo has shown up that highlights Kenshō Ono as Syu Narita.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Naomi Ōzora as Ito Narita
- Toshiki Masuda as Gen Narita
- Taku Yashiro as Raku Narita
- Kenshō Ono as Syu Narita
- Momoka Terasawa as Rui Narita
Known originally as Uchi no Otouto-domo ga Sumimasen (うちの弟どもがすみません), it began in 202 by Akira Ozaki as serialized through Bessatsu Margaret for Shueisha. it has fourteen volumes released so far in Japan and has not been licensed in English.
