Peacock’s streaming lineup for May features a new original series as well as the streaming debut of a Quentin Tarantino masterpiece. Before either of those releases, though, there’s a slew of great movies being added to the platform starting on May 1. Whether you’re into sci-fi, adventure, fantasy, or rom-coms, there’s a little bit of everything here you’ll be able to watch as soon as April comes to an end.

As for highlights, the new Peacock Original series is a crime drama series called M.I.A. According to the official Peacock page, the series will be released as a “nine-episode binge drop” starting on May 7. Following that is the long-awaited streaming debut of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which is an epic 275-minutes of movie. It’s arriving alongside a slew of other popular Tarantino films on May 22.

New on Peacock for May 2026

Note: Click on any of the titles with a link to see IGN’s review of that movie or check out some of our curated highlights as you scroll through this month’s releases.

    May 1

    Highlight: Galaxy Quest

    Alan Rickman as Dr. Lazarus

Galaxy Quest has been hailed the best “non-Star Trek” movie ever made, and for good reason. It’s a hilarious comedy that combines the realities of the sci-fi fandom and actual space exploration. With Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, and Alan Rickman all folded into the cast, Galaxy Quest is easily one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time.

    Highlight: The Martian

With Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary doing so well at the box office this year, it’s definitely worth pointing out the author’s other famous story that got a theatrical adaptation. IGN gave the film a positive review when it first came out, saying: “From sound design to the visuals to watching the problem-solving unfold, it is astounding. It is emotional and logical at the same time and it just might inspire a new generation to look to the stars.”

    Highlight: Stardust

Michelle Pfeiffer touching Ricky Gervais’ lips.

There are quite a few incredible fantasy stories that have been released over the years, many of which have since become a major fandom. Not every movie can be like Lord of the Rings, though, and Stardust is the perfect example of a fantasy film that absolutely succeeds at doing its own thing. Starring Charlie Cox (Daredevil: Born Again) as the hero and Michellle Pfeiffer as the evil witch, Stardust is a fun adventure that can be rewatched over and over. You can check out IGN’s Stardust review from back in 2007 for our thoughts.

M.I.A is the only new Peacock Original series coming out in May, and all nine episodes are set to drop on the same day. The fresh crime drama series is all about Etta Tiger Jonze, who takes on the underbelly of South Florida after her family’s drug-running business ends in tragedy.

    • The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Highlight: The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

This film is essentially Guy Ritchie’s answer to Inglourius Basterds but with more jokes. It’s got Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher) and Alan Ritchson (Reacher) taking on Nazis and that’s a beautiful thing. According to IGN’s review of the film, “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a solid Guy Ritchie take on World War II that tells an incredible, sort-of-true story as only this specific British filmmaker can. Henry Cavill leads his band of merry misbehavers to war against any Nazi in eyesight, blending spy game thrills with safeties-off action sequences.”

Highlight: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Quentin Tarantino originally envisioned Kill Bill as a single experience, but the film got split into two parts upon release. It wasn’t until recently that a unified version of Kill Bill was even accessible, but The Whole Bloody Affair has been widely available for the better part of 2026 now. Its arrival on Peacock marks the first time the film has come to streaming and it comes highly recommended, assuming you have 275 minutes to dedicate to the experience. You can check out IGN’s glowing 9 out of 10 review for our thoughts on the film.

    Biggest Upcoming Peacock Originals

There aren’t a ton of details available about what Peacock Originals are in the works for the streaming service, but we do know about a few things. The most recent announcement was that Matt Dinniman’s popular Dungeon Crawler Carl series is officially coming to the platform. There is not official release date for that, but we do know it’s being worked on by Seth McFarlane’s production company. Until recently, there was also a Clueless sequel series in the works, but Variety recently reported that its no longer in development at the streamer.
