Back in 2023, Kodansha USA Publishing announced that all 44 volumes of the globe-trotting wine-tasting manga, The Drops of God by Tadashi Agi and Shu Okimoto, would get digital distribution. That announcement came as the live-action TV series was announced, which has a second season currently underway in 2026.
An anime adaptation was announced in November 2026 and saw an April 10th, 2026, debut for its two-cour run. The latest update has the production bringing out the clean theme songs for streaming below. The series features HOKUTO performing the opening theme song “hate you? love you?” while Maaya Uchida is on board for the ending theme song “Kami no Shizuku.”
Kenji Itoso is directing it from scripts supervised by Yu Mitsubri. Takehiro Suwa is handling character designs with Satelight and YANCHESTER on the animation production. Crunchyroll confirmed its pickup of the show and will stream it in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
The Japanese cast includes:

Originally released digitally through the comiXology Original line of exclusive content, The Drops of God digital volumes first debuted on comiXology and Kindle in October 2019 and completed all 44 volumes for the first time in English in May of 2021. Now, the series is getting a print release once again with the first omnibus volume, clocking in at 434 pages, arriving from Vertical Comics on November 18th, 2025. Created and written by Tadashi Agi with artwork by Shu Okimoto, The Drops of God has had an unprecedented impact on the international wine market and the various wines featured throughout the live-action TV series.
