June is finally here, which means anime fans need another list of exciting series and films to watch. As the Spring 2026 anime season draws to a close, fans prepare for the exciting Summer lineup, which includes major sequels and some of the most anticipated debuts. While the new anime lineup is still a month away, luckily, Netflix‘s library is expanding by the day, and there are several exciting stories fans can explore each month. It’s the last month of the Spring 2026 anime season, which means that there’s not a lot of new series coming to the platform.

Instead, Netflix is adding already existing shows to the library to localize some fan-favorite stories. Regardless, the platform has more than enough shows and films to keep you occupied for the whole month.

    10) Assassination Classroom

This beloved Shonen Jump anime wraps up the story in two seasons, both of which have finally been added to the platform more than a decade after the premiere. The story follows a group of misfit middle school students of Class 3-E, who are isolated from the school building because of their behavior or poor grades. However, their lives take a drastic turn when they meet their new homeroom teacher, a yellow-colored, octopus-like creature called Koro Sensei.

    9) Mob Psycho 100

Mob Psycho 100 is based on ONE’s award-winning manga, the same author as One-Punch Man, and is considered one of the greatest Shonen series of all time. The story centers around an eighth-grade student, Shigeo Kageyama, also known as Mob, who wants to keep his destructive psychic abilities hidden from the world, but he keeps running into more trouble than he bargained for.

    8) Spy x Family

All seasons of the anime have finally been added to the platform in April, so don’t forget to binge one of the greatest spy action stories of all time. While the fourth season hasn’t shared any updates, the anime covers some of the best arcs and moments from the manga. Additionally, the latest season takes Loid one step closer to his goal.

    7) Haikyu!!

This beloved sports drama is an all-time comfort show for many fans, centering around Shoyo Hinata, a short but spirited boy who aspires to become a volleyball player. While the anime has yet to wrap up the Spring Nationals High School Tournament and the fan-favorite Final Arc, the series has more than enough seasons and episodes that will keep you occupied for the whole month.

    6) Kotaro Lives Alone

While the anime was never renewed for a sequel, the first season is more than captivating enough for a binge-watch. The story explores child neglect in various circumstances and portrays the impact it has on children as they grow up. It’s a heartbreaking and emotional story of love and kindness that instills hope through its realism as it focuses on the struggles of a four-year-old boy who is forced to live alone and take care of himself.

    5) Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

This original anime film is one of the biggest new releases of the year, as it features a reimagined version of an old Japanese folktale, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. This incredibly gorgeous story centers around two girls who form a special bond through music as they take center stage in the dream-filled virtual realm of Tsukuyomi, where dreams and hopes come together.

    4) Ōoku: The Inner Chambers

Based on Fumi Yoshinaga’s award-winning manga, the ten episodes of the anime adaptation cover the first 15 chapters. Unfortunately, due to the lack of popularity, it was never renewed for a second season, but it’s still one of the greatest series on the platform. The story is set in Edo-period Japan as it explores gender roles, power, and politics through the characters restricted by social norms.

    3) Suzume

Makoto Shinkai’s latest film has been streaming on Netflix for quite a while now, and you just can’t rewatch it enough. With sun-drenched rural landscapes and a supernatural adventure, it’s the perfect anime to watch right before the start of a new summer season. The story follows Suzume as she runs away from home on a cross-country journey spanning Kyushu, Shikoku, and Tokyo to save Souta from a cruel fate.

    2) Forest of Piano

This incredible coming-of-age anime is exclusive to Netflix, and fans won’t be able to stream it legally after September 28th, 2026. The series is based on the award-winning manga by Makoto Isshiki, following Kai Ichinose, a young boy who grew up in the red-light district and finds comfort by playing an abandoned piano in the forest. After catching the eye of a former piano prodigy, he embarks on a journey to play at a global stage.

    1) The Summer Hikaru Died

This melancholic horror series was released last year and will soon be returning with a second season. The story is based on Mokumokuren’s award-winning manga, which has already entered its final phase. This heartbreaking story explores LGBTQ+ themes and the struggle for identity as the protagonist deals with the loss of his best friend and finds out he has been replaced by a mysterious entity.
