The Level 999 no Murabito is on track for an anime adaptation in 2026 and has revealed a lot of details. Translating as The Villager of Level 999, the project has debuted its official site and socials below, along with a promo, key visual, and the staff and main cast for it. The series is based on the light novel series by Koneko Hoshitsuki, which began in 2015 and wrapped up in 2019 with nine volumes. manga adaptation launched in 2017 by Kenichi Iwamoto and is ongoing with nineteen volumes as of August 2025.
With a July 2026 debut set recently, the production has now confirmed another cast member with Yuichiro Umehara coming on to play Menou.

The anime has Yoshinobu Ksai directing it from the series composition by Shinzo Fujita. Kentaro Matsumoto is handling the character designs with Brains Base on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Satoshi Inomata as Koji Kagami
- Nao Tōyama as Alice
- Hiroya Egashira as Takako
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Rex
- Manaka Iwami as Krull
- Aoi Koga as Tina
- Lynn as Paruna
- Yuichiro Umehara as Menou

Plot Concept: The story is set in a world of swords and sorcery called Earthqualia, where everyone is born with a designated “class” or role. The story centers on Koji Kagami, born into the weakest “villager” class, but is level 999 despite that. Koji has a chance meeting with Alcie, the daughter of the demon lord, and together, they seek to find a way for humans and demons to co-exist.
