Studio Ghibli official online store, Donguri Sora, has restocked its previously sold-out My Neighbor Totoro Catbus lunch collection. The on-the-go kitchenware set brings a little Ghibli magic to every meal, whether at school, at work or on the road. Per Donguri Sora’s restock page, six of the highly sought-after My Neighbor Totoro Catbus lunch series items are now back after their initial release in 2024.
Studio Ghibli’s Totoro Catbus Lunch Collection Returns to Official Store After 2 Years
The restocked lineup includes a Catbus drawstring bag, two Totoro lunch boxes, a Totoro plastic cup, a Catbus tri-utensil kit and a Catbus chopstick set. Each item ranges from 748 to 1,760 yen (approximately US$4.81 to $11.31) and is dishwasher safe, making the collection an affordable and hygienic option for Totoro-themed meals on the go.
The Catbus drawstring bag is described as “perfect for a lunch box” and measures approximately 11.5 inches by 6.5 inches. It features a front graphic of Totoro sitting with an umbrella and a back graphic of the beloved Catbus, with smaller My Neighbor Totoro motifs running along the top and bottom. Made of 100% cotton, the bag includes both a drawstring closure and a carrying handle, and is priced at 1,100 yen (approximately US$7.07).
Designed to fit neatly inside the drawstring bag are the Catbus lunch boxes, which have been restocked in two sizes: 450 ml (approximately 15.2 oz) and 360 ml (approximately 12.1 oz). The larger lunch box comes in a rectangular shape, while the smaller features a rounded design, but both share a green body, yellow snap handles, and a cream-colored lid covered in matching My Neighbor Totoro graphics.
The pattern showcases Totoro, the Catbus and themed embellishments such as susuwatari (soot sprites), cat paw prints and mini Totoros. Both lunch boxes include attachable name stickers for labeling and removable green partitions for separating dishes, while the smaller box also comes with an additional removable compartment. Both sizes are microwave and dishwasher-safe. The 450 ml box is priced at 1,485 yen (~US$9.54 USD), while the smaller 360 ml version is priced at 1,760 yen (~US$11.31).
The plastic Catbus cup arrives in a cream colorway with the same My Neighbor Totoro pattern as the lunch boxes and holds 200 ml (approximately 6.7 oz). It includes a name sticker and features a small hole near the handle for easy hanging. The cup is priced at 550 yen (~US$3.53).
The restock also includes two Catbus utensil sets. The tri-utensil set, priced at 1,595 yen (~US$10.25), comes with a sliding cream-and-green case decorated with My Neighbor Totoro graphics, along with a yellow fork and spoon set and a pair of green paw-print chopsticks. The Catbus chopstick set, listed for 748 yen (~US$4.81), includes a light green sliding case with similar themed graphics and a pair of beige paw-print chopsticks. Both utensil sets include name labels and are dishwasher safe.
The Catbus lunch series pattern features rarer My Neighbor Totoro illustrations, including the Catbus running from behind and Totoro seated with his umbrella, making the items desirable collectibles as well as functional meal containers. While Donguri Sora does not currently ship outside Japan, international fans may be able to find the items through official international platforms such as Meccha Japan, Neokyo and Sugoi Mart.
In the meantime, My Neighbor Totoro is currently available to stream via HBO Max for North American viewers.
