Nominations are now open for the prestigious BPS Book Awards and BPS members are invited to put forward their nominations for this year’s categories.
The BPS Book Award recognises high standards of published works in psychology. If you’ve read a book that has changed the way you think, used innovative new research, or you simply can’t stop recommending, we’d love to hear from you.
There are four different categories for nominations to ensure we’re recognising a broad range of publishing talent. The categories are:
- Academic monograph
- Practitioner text
- Textbook
- Popular science
There will be one winner announced in each category later in the year, with each winner receiving a commemorative certificate and £500.
Last year’s award winners covered an array of different subjects including autism and girls, political thought, honour abuse and violence and gender-affirming therapy. If you are looking for some inspiration for your nomination take a look at our announcement from 2025.
Visit the BPS Book Award webpage for more information about the award and how to submit a nomination. The closing date for submissions is Sunday 12 April 2026.
