The Manga Up! service has added another project to its catalog with Princess of Desert Rain: Once a Mage, Now a Farmer’s Daughter by writer Syuu and artist Umitoshima. Known originally as Sabaku no Kuni no Amefurashi Hime: Zense de Shokei Sareta Mahoutsukai wa Nouka no Musume ni Narimashita (#砂漠の国の雨降らし姫～前世で処刑された魔法使いは農家の娘になりました～), it began in 2023 and was completed with four volumes. Syuu made their debut in 2022 with like half a dozen works, and they have fifteen works in total. This is Umitoshima’s debut work.
Plot Concept: In this desert nation, rain falls only when a young farm girl named Alyssia sleeps. Fearing what would happen if her gift were discovered in a land where water is a precious commodity, her parents have kept her hidden from the world. But when Alyssia meets a mysterious boy, she begins to uncover the true, hidden power behind her rainfall.
